Please Tidy Up

Those rabbits are still roaming the site and obviously still have places to shelter and breed. Six were spotted this week crossing the main path by the East Gate. They obviously live somewhere very close by.

The Allotments Officer has left everyone a letter asking for a tidy up to remove any shelter for pests. Thanks go to everyone that has dug over their compost heap, cleared away what is now rubbish and bricked up holes under sheds.

Trouble is, we need everyone to do this and many of our plots still have ideal places for pests to thrive. That is why the rabbits are still there.

A full site inspection is due very soon where official warning letters leading to eviction will be issued to plotholders who still have piles of uncleared rubbish around their plot. Sorry, but these are trying times.

Keeping your plot clean is an essential part in ensuring we see the end of the rabbits. As has been said many times before...remove their shelter and they will leave the site when foxes find it easier to catch them.

Please give this your priority now, otherwise it's going to get worse.
